AAPNC is awarded the "Environment Award 2019"

The Area of Environment, Sports and Agriculture of the City of Almuñécar (Granada) presented to our association, last Thursday, January 16, one of the most important awards that this Sexitan council can grant and that is intended to highlight those people and groups that show their involvement and concern for the natural environment: The Environment Award 2019.

The care and health of the planet is a serious matter in the town of Almuñécar. This is the annual celebration of these awards, which highlight the promotion of the cleanliness of the area or encourage the purity of the environment.

On this occasion, in a gala held in the magnificent framework of the Aquarium of Almuñécar, led by the technician of that area, Carlos Ferrón, and chaired by Luis Aragón, Councilor of the Environment and by Trinidad Herrera, mayor of this town, was attended by the various political groups, social agents and numerous citizens, who applauded and gave their recognition to the ten winners of this year.

For AAPNC, the award has not only meant the environmental recognition of its work, but also the social one.

Few administrations collaborate and praise the work of a nudist association and, as was said during the thanks we had the opportunity to make after receiving the Prize, "It is one more sample that this City Council is above prejudices and censorship made any professed ideology and form of being of its citizens. And that, unfortunately, is not the ordinary thing. For that reason, we are doubly grateful for the award of this magnificent award."

The representatives of our association also asked "awareness" of the thousands of people who visit each year this extraordinary and unique place, such as Maro-Cerro Gordo and the nudist beach of Cantarriján, asking those responsible for the Junta de Andalucía, firmly in the face of ecological crimes that occur in the protected maritime area of the Natural Paraje and that are causing a rapid and visible deterioration in their flora and marine fauna.
