The Association of Friends of the Nudist Beach of Cantarriján, a collective that since last February watches over the interests of this well-known nudist beach of Almuñécar, remains firm in its efforts to achieve the much-demanded maritime beacon that will protect the entrance of motor boats into the protected perimeter within the Natural Park of the Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs.
Let us remember that this association has already made, months ago, this request to the Environment Delegate of the City of Almuñécar, being transferred to the equivalent area of the Junta de Andalucía, last responsible for all the actions that are undertaken within this natural place on the Costa Tropical of Granada.
To this end, members of its board attended last Tuesday the informative talk on the regulatory regulations of maritime activities in protected natural areas of the coast of Almuñécar that was in charge of Rafael de la Cruz Márquez, head of the Department of Management of Protected Natural Spaces of the territorial delegation of the Ministry of Environment and Land Management of the Junta de Andalucía.
After the conference, AAPNC was able to talk to him about the pressing need to launch the maritime area of Cantarriján and its surroundings, due to the continuous traffic of motor boats that cross daily, and even cast the anchor, a few meters from the shore of Cantarriján Beach, putting at risk the delicate and unique marine ecosystem of the coast and the bathers who , they are continuously at risk by jet skis that travel along the shore.
For his part, the coordinator of this area said that he did not know such a request for beaconing which he does not object to and which he also considers not only necessary, but of mandatory compliance, but that he did not know that this request was included in the "Plan de Playas 2018".
With this premise, the association of Cantarriján was received yesterday Wednesday by Luis Aragón, responsible for the environmental area of the Sexitano City Council, to which they presented the statements of De La Cruz.
According to Aragon, the request for a beacon permit from Cantarriján and its border area, was made months ago to the Environment area of the Junta de Andalucía and are awaiting a reply that, so far, has not occurred.
In the same vein is Sergio García Alabarce, President of the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Costa Tropical, who confirmed everything exhibited by Aragon regarding the request made to the Andalusian Board.
AAPNC waits and wants the response of the heads of the Board's Environment Ministry to occur before the peak summer season of the beginning, because it is at this time of year, when the most racking of boats and jet skis occur in the area, and when the beaconing becomes more necessary. Let us remember that, while the proposal becomes a reality, it will be free to realize:
And it is forbidden to:
In addition to this issue, the leaders of the Association dealt with other significant topics with Luis Aragón, such as the next installation of the new signage signaling Cantarriján as Playa Nudista (also pending the permission of the Junta de Andalucía), the cleaning of the coastal area or the finalization of details about the celebration of the Nudist Day of the next July 21 , in which the Environmental Delegation of the City of Almuñécar will also actively collaborate.
